Will the Giants Trade Shockey?

Will the Giants trade Shockey? I think not.
Should the Giants trade Shockey? Absolutely.
Hasselbeck's Face-Plant

Check out this video testimonial from Brett Farve... recounting the time Matt Hasselbeck did a face-plant while trying to celebrate a fake-field goal touchdown:

Brett's a little long-winded, but stay with-it. It gets good.
Where Did My Incendiary Posts Go?

No worries, here's one for you Patriots Fans! Recently Davey submitted a question:

Although you are a Giants fan, I have to feel like you are as sick of this SpyGate thing as I am. [Are you?]

The truth is, I've entirely avoided commenting on SpyGate for 'household political' reasons, but I will answer your question: Yes. I am entirely sick of SpyGate.

I do feel that anytime Congressmen or other elected officials interfere with sports, sport rules, or where Week 17 game will be aired... they are clearly too bored with what they're doing and there is a major problem with our country.

I agree that people like Arlen Spector should be focusing on any one of the more important issues that exist today. But then again, 100% of us said we'd watch the opening day game over the Republican Convention.... So maybe this is just a reflection of our country's priorities... what do you think?
Miami & Rams with Unfair Advantage??

With only one hour and fifty three minutes until the draft (but who's counting), the first pick has already been made. Early this week Miami signed Jake Long to a contract as an offensive tackle. But the NFL told the Rams that they cannot do the same, even though now it's their turn.

I may be missing an angle to this, but:

  1. Why let Miami make their first pick days before the draft (giving the Rams a slight head start that no one else will get)
  2. Why only let the 1st pick go and then hold up the rest?
I really don't get it. Will someone enlighten me?

The New TO?

Is Chad Johnson the new TO? My gosh buddy, have some respect. You're making Tiki look good for waiting until after retirement to trash talk his team. At least Palmer is man-ing up with his comments to the media.

But the latest is that Coach Lewis is calling Terrel Ow- I mean Johnson's bluff. Says go ahead and sit on the bench for the season! This is better than reality TV.

"I've stated our case with Chad," Lewis said. "He has a contract through 2011. He's stated without an opportunity to go to a different team and a new contract, he wasn't going to play. I think he's a man of his word and says he's not going to play, so don't play."
NFL.com - Associated Press

I hope he sits on the bench and they go to the superbowl without him. I think Cinncy is too stubborn to trade him. I love football drama, don't you?
Results Are In

100% of voters said they'd watch the opening season game (Giants - Skins) over the Republican Convention. Yea, me too.
Open Planning Season

WOO HOOOOOOOO. The NFL schedule for fall 2008 is out and tickets are already on stubhub! YEAH. Now I can start planning trips around the country to achieve Sah&Stevers' life goal to see all 32 NFL teams play in their home stadium. 2 down, 30 to go.

Within the first 24hours we bought tickets to Red Skins - Saints. Sweetness!
Is there a hyphen in the word "Count-down"?

I was recently told there wasn't but that's ok. Who really cares? The more important thing is that we are all counting down to the NFL draft this weekend. With a few extra hours to wait due to the new changes to the format (starts 3pm instead of 12noon), maybe our entire Saturday will not be consumed by draft-watching... hah, who am I kidding? Pre-draft coverage will probably begin at 9am.
Why WYSIWYGs Suck

See below. This is so annoying.

PS. For you who don't know... WYSIWYGs are "What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get" tools for people like me to make websites and blog postings. Using coding languages is so much better. Derrrr

Where Will Shaun Alexander Go?

Two years after awarded the MVP award, Shaun Alexander has been cut from Seattle Seahawks. OUCH. With injuries and little performance, Seattle has given up on Alexander and has traded for Julius Jones from Dallas. I oddly feel bad for the fella.

While I'm happy for Dallas to lose talent... where will Shaun Alexander go?

I have two guesses: A) Carolina Panthers or B) Denver Broncos

Stevers says Detriot. What do you think? Vote in the poll or leave a comment.

Although this has little to do with Football, I think it's important to keep apprised of the happenings and on-going in other 'sports' since they could been seen as "competition" (no pun or irony intended). I mean really, if you're the NFL who is your competition? Arena Football? HAHAHAHA... yeaaaa.

So the question of today is... would you ever see this facial expression in football?

Your replies are welcomed. For more failure-pictures, visit this guy's blog. Kinda funny.

Lifehouse Concert

Even if I was drunk or high, this concert would have been boring. Okay, okay, okay... maybe
if I was on some sort of illegal narcotic it would have been exciting. But that's ok, because they are a great band to listen to (on my computer).

They started with 3 songs that ran into eachother... You truly couldn't tell where 1 began and the other ended (and I knew one of three). They soon moved into "Hanging by a Moment" one and a half times.

Just when I thought DMB was the shoe in for the 'Songs That Sound Exactly Alike Award', lifehouse gave me a run for my money.

Disappoint decision was when the guitarist sang a song... (I believe counting crows and Goo Goo Dolls tried that and it sucked then too. Unless you are Ryan Peake from Nickleback, do not try this at home).

Overall, Lifehouse is a phenomenal radio band but needs some help with their concert performance. My advice to the band? Be proud of your hits and sing them.
