Big Ben...Ahem, Ahem

Big Ben Roethlisberger is being sued for sexual harrassment... are we surprised? Do you feel a bit of doubt? Would you have felt same doubt if it had been Plaxico accused? What if it was Chris Johnson accused? Just asking!

Why Shakira Should Own an NFL Team

The reason is simple. Shakira is so much cooler than Gloria Estefan. I can only hope that through this deal, Gloria brings more hispanic fans to the NFL and increases the popularity of the sport even more.

Small Change but Big Impact

NFL had always posted headlines and links to their articles in the top right-hand corner of their site. They recently updated the site so that instead of only being able to display the last couple of articles, now you can sort them by "most commented" and "most recommended" (in the last 2 days). Simple, but brilliant. I love you NFL.com.

Business of Baseball...???

For my loyal readers out there, you must know what I think of baseball... for those of you who don't, it's easy to guess. However, some bizarre piece of my brain thought it would be a good idea to use 5 vacations day from work to attend a 5-day intense bootcamp on the "business of baseball" at NYU.

On Day 1, it was clear to me within the first 10 minutes that I was probably the second least knowledge-able person in the room when it came to baseball... I wondered how I would survive and fare through the next few days.

The answer: amazingly. Because I know enough sports I was able to pick everything up fairly quickly. Additionally, I have been the third top contributor to the discussions.

And yes, it's true. I have now found even more evidence why Football surpasses baseball in every single way. I have more ammo than ever!! mwahahaha

Backstabbing Brett

With rumors flying that Brett will be coming back to the NFL, my eyes roll so hard I pull a muscle. But wait! There's more.

This bastard is looking to join (and only join) the Vikings!!!!! Talk about spiteful. What an ass...

How can ANYONE defend him?

Totally Wrong

I couldn't be more wrong about the game. Incredible. Congrats to the Steelers.

Superbowl Superboring

Steelers - Cardinals? Really? Really? Unless you live in Arizona or Pittsburgh (i can't even say Pennsylvania since there are 2 teams for the single state) - you are probably not that excited about this superbowl.

This frequently happens with the superbowl... so rarely is the game close. Most of the time it is a blow out and that is my prediction for tomorrow. Sawwy. I hope I'm wrong. :(

Where Have I Been?

I started monitoring the traffic to my own blog more closely and since I felt there were so few readers, I lost motivation to update my football blog for the last few months. But since then, a few things in my personal life have changed and given me new inspiration. The main element being that Stevers proposed and we are now engaged! Sorry for the delay, but here's my two cents!

A Tie??

Ties in football are pretty rare. And I'm not referring to the strips of fabric that wrap around a man's neck. How rare are they? The last time there was a tie was in 2002!!!! And today, the Eagles and Cinncy Bengals managed that feat.

Both teams worked hard to lose the game, yet neither team was able to come out with a win. The Bengals missed a 47 (very doable) field goal that Graham had to make in the last 7 seconds. Turnovers galore, the game sounded like a total sh*tshow.

And even more disturbing is how so many players and coaches (i won't name names) "didn't know" that you could end in a tie or how a tie affected the divisional standings... yikes!

Tenn Titans

Tennessee is now TEN and zero. wooo. With a win over Jacksonville, long-time division rival, the titans will move onto the Jets to see if we can make it to 11-0. I can't wait!!!

The Jets????

Well the Jets have taken the lead of the AFC East... which is probably the craziest sentence I've written all year. Someone must have fed the pigs red bull and gave them wings. YIKES.
1st Winning Score of 11

Today I learned something new as the Steelers went to beat SD with a winning score of 11. No team in NFL history has beaten another team with a score of 11. Totally random but fascinating!

Herm, You Suck

I understand 'you play to win the game' and even though there has never been an instance where I've watched the Chiefs play to win, last night those famous words came to life.

Herm went for 2 to win the game rather than go for the point after and tie the game. I understand that if you have momentum and you are not the better team, go for the win. My personal feeling was that the team may have been pumped but they had lost their composure...

And from the result of the game I was proved correct...
