What In The World???

How the tides change. 2007 was the year of 'big-name wide receivers'. Fantasy players gave left arms to have these bad boys on their team. No one could deny that these QB-WR combos became unstoppable.
  • Brady to Moss
  • Eli to Plaxico
  • Romo to TO
They were the talk - and the top- of the leagues. Moss - Plaxico - TO. They were unstoppable. They towered above defenders. They leaped better than frogs. Their hands had glue and magnets, connecting to every ball. They made the QB's jobs easy (or at least easier).

But this year... what has happened? No one is throwing to them! I understand that Brad Johnson might be blind from old-age and may have trouble connecting to the right team - let alone to a specific player.... Cassel can't seem to throw more than 10 yards.... and Eli? Well Dad won't let Eli throw to Plaxico because of a personal grudge and problem. (Damnit Tom, get over missing one practice).

It's ridiculous. Another thing you might have noticed that these players had in common is their reputation as rebels, trouble-makers, and thugs. But each one of these teams has tamed their wild star. Plaxico went above and beyond making an effort (playing injured for a 1/3 of the year). Moss chilled and you never heard a peep. And TO? My gosh, TO was CRYING on TV over his love for Jessica's lover.

I'm sorry for ranting but ignoring these players seems ridiculous to me. Absolutely ridiculous. They are going to revert backwards and become a problem. TO has been the first to already break. If they leave, I won't be surprised... nor will I blame them. If you won't use them, I'm sure there are plenty of teams who would.

Maybe they can go to TN. :)
