Before We Start...

So there are a few new rules to note before the exciting new season starts. Here's a quick recap of some of the key changes!

Radios for Defensive Captain
After the debacle with NE last year and the whole 'taping' stuff, the league will help prevent Bill B from decoding the defensive team's communication and codes by allowing a defensive player to have a radio in his helmet. Why it took them this long to implement this technology for defense when they already have this in place for communication with the QB is BEYOND ME... like duh.

Force-Outs? no more
Sadly is the elimination of the force-out ruling... buuttt I guess if the Refs' aren't going to enforce it, you might as well eliminate it. Case in point is the Cleveland -Arizona game late last season where Cleveland clearly should have had a TD since the receiver was CLEARLY pushed out... and that loss for Cleveland was a huge loss for my family... if you don't know the story - ask me why. Let's just say, my Dad who predicted Cleveland to win is still regretting that advice.

Instant Replay for... Kicks
All it takes is one instance for a new rule to be made. Instant Replay is now applicable to field goals and extra point attempts. Fine by me.

All Facemasks = 15 yards
There is no more room for an accidental (incidental) facemask... you touch someon's facemask and that's 15 yards. Let go or not. Although a little extreme, maybe it will teach players to avoid facemasks altogether and thereby reduce the number of twisting-the-head-facemasks which reduces the chances for injury. Sounds good.

Now... let's play ball!
