The Gift of Experiences

As a Christmas gift to our parents, sibling, and each other, Sah and Stevers purchased tickets to the Giants-Patriots game a few months ago. As the promise of a historical game became more and more likely, the Kresses made the 5 hour trip to the Big Apple NYC. We took a limo out to the Jers and arrived an hour and a half early... yet ALL THE BROCHURES WERE GONE! Of course they are now on Ebay... anyway...

Decked out in Patriots gear I was sure that we were going to get endlessly heckled. Despite a few "Brady sucks" calls, there were a ton of other Patriots fans and we were equally praised for our gear.

The game itself was... well it was electric and legendary. It felt like a playoff game, and it was the best and most incredible game to attend. I couldn't imagine a better experience.

With NFL records broken, we witnessed 4 historical moments:

  • most points in a regular season (589)
  • most td passes in a regular season (50)
  • most td receptions in a regular season (23)
  • undefeated 16-0 regular season

The Giants played their heart out and I consider them to have won. Maybe not the game, but certainly the love and respect of the nation for going out there when they had nothing to gain. What an experience.
